It’s Twilight Saga Eclipse Season!!

How rubbish that the main stars did not bother to turn up for the London premiere. I have read the books in the Twilight collection and am looking forward to seeing the film. Will wait until all the craziness is over before I venture to the cinema. Gotta love Orange Wednesday – watching a film for half price in the afternoon while all the annoying kids are still in school and there are only about 20 people in the screening room. Ah what bliss.

Back To My Earnings For June

When I first reviewed the results of my money making experiment for the month of June, I was a little disappointed that the end figure wasn’t higher. However I did take a week off at the beginning of the month and spent the time with friends in the city of Rome, which was fabulous. So taking that into account and the fact that I don’t do anything with the sites that have adsense on them, I have done pretty good.

Milestones & Achievements For June 2010

I wanted to add more backlinks to two older sites – done
I wanted to get these sites on page one of Google – done
I wanted to order more articles from Freelancer.com – done
I wanted to create 2 new clickbank sites – Articles done, need to add to sites
I wanted to buy 10 more dot info domains – I bought 5

How Much Can You Earn From Adsense?

Nearly all my sites earned roughly half the amount they did in the previous month. It has only been in the last week or so that the numbers has started to rise again. Wonder if this was the after effects of the MayDay Google Samba Dance or something? The good thing is that this was mostly passive income as I haven’t done much work on these sites.

Adsense earnings from Hubs = £116.24 last month = £122.74

Adsense earnings for Info barrels = £12.00 last month = £5.65

Adsense earnings from Free blogger blogs = £22.05 last month = £13.08

Adsense earnings from my Hosted sites = £39.97 last month = £83.49

Adsense earnings from Xomba, & Snipsly = £2.82 last month = £1.60

Unknown earnings = £4.08 last month = £3.89

Total Adsense Earnings = £197.16 last month = £230.45

How Much Money Can You Earn From Amazon Affiliate Links?

Nothing via my UK links but an increase in Amazon USA. I have been working hard on these sites and hope that this will show up in this July’s results.

Total Earnings From Amazon UK this month = £0 last month = £2.13

How Much Money Can You Make With Clickbank Products?

I finally received my very first Clickbank cheque in the post last month. It wasn’t much but it is a start.

Earnings From Clickbank = £7.53 – Last Month = £7.53

Making Money with Kontera

Kontera is only on my hubpages. I will most probably stay with it until I reach the payout limit.

Earnings From Kontera = £4.34 – Last Month = £4.43

TOTAL INTERNET EARNINGS FOR JUNE 2010

= £466.77 Last month = £449.30

I was really hoping to break the £500 barrier for June. Hopefully this will be achieved for the month of July.

Things To Work On In July

This month I will try to refrain from buying more domains. I need to work on the ones that I currently have.

I also want to go through the sites that are earning very little adsense and remove the coding. Most of these have Amazon products so I should not let potential buyers get distracted by the adsense blurb which ends up earning me only a few pennies whereas an Amazon click could potentially make more. I have also removed adsense from this blog as it wasn’t doing much anyway.

The Challenge 2010

The Thirty Day Challenge that used to be hosted by Ed Dale has a new name. It is simply called The Challenge. It is a free internet based series that shows you how to make money on the internet. I hope to take part and learn some great lessons on how to make more money on the internet. The system has changed for this year so will be interesting to see how different it is and if I can still make money for free using the tools that they will introduce.

So that’s it for now. I will now enjoy the beautiful summer here in London town and try not to get too distracted by the lure of my garden.

It’s Sex and The City Time!- part 2!

The month of May has been a good one for my money making experiment. I got a lot done but I could have done even more if I hadn’t been distracted by the fascinating blogs of all those other people who are doing what I am trying to do – that is to make money on the internet.

I discovered the following sites via web surfing and reading the comments on other people’s sites. The stuff that I have read has been both interesting and also very enlightening. It has helped me to confirm that I am doing certain things correctly but that there is still so much to learn and so much more opportunities out there.

Most of these sites were not made particularly with adsense in mind. I will need to go through them and replace the less successful ones with something more suitable like Amazon or CJ product links. I am very happy to see the jump in results though.

I am very pleased with the earnings for this month. I have a lot of work to do if I want my UK affiliate links to increase.

Earnings From Amazon UK this month = £2.13 last month = £12.42

How Much Money Can You Make With Clickbank Products?

After realizing that I will not be eligible for payment via Clickbank until I get 5 or more things bought via different credit cards, I thought I should try a little bit harder with this revenue stream. Still baby steps though. At the moment I have bought and set up one domain and have another one to work on.

Earnings From Clickbank = $11.04 = £7.53 – Last Month = $32.60 = £21.01

Making Money with Kontera

Kontera is only on my hubpages. I will most probably stay with it until I reach the payout limit.

Earnings From Kontera = $6.50 = £4.43 – Last Month = = $10.91 = £7.14

TOTAL INTERNET EARNINGS FOR MAY 2010

= £449.30 Last month = £303.57

This is a fantastic improvement on my earnings so far. The great thing is that I can see that the work I am doing is actually making a difference. The overall numbers are heading in the right direction. Slowly but surely I will get to the point where I able am to live completely from my online earnings.

Outsourcing My Website Content

I always thought that you had to be earning thousands in order to justify hiring someone to do some work for you. After reading the blog posts from the people mentioned above, I decided to dip my toe in the water and signed up with Freelancer.com. I was a little worried about the quality of writing I would receive. I initially requested 10 articles for $20. The articles I got back were really well written so I will definitely be doing this again. This is going to be excellent for the really boring keywords that I choose. I can then concentrate on the more interesting stuff.

Buying Dot Info Sites

I set myself the target of buying 50 dot info sites and I have currently got 24. They will be a mixture of adsense sites, Amazon sites and clickbank sites. 19 out of the 24 have at least one article post at the moment. The great news is that I have already made sales through a couple of these sites which is fab. I will continue to add posts and work on the back linking stuff.

Things To Work On In June

As well as buying more domains , writing more hubpages and adding content to the new sites, I want to concentrate my efforts on the older domains that I have. The earnings I have achieved are great but most of my sites are not on the first page of the Google results. If I actually took the task of keyword research and back linking seriously I am sure that I would see a dramatic increase in my potential earnings. A more focussed approached is definitely needed.

So for June I want to:

Buy at least 10 more dot info domains
Order at least 10 articles for these sites via Freelancer.com
Create 2 Clickbank sites
Work on getting one or two of my older sites onto page 1 of Google search results
As well as the normal article writing, surfing the net, watching TV and getting distracted by everyday life.

Earnings For January 2010

My money making activities were slightly interrupted as I am currently hooked on Twilight. I have read the first book, seen the film and am working my way through the next one. The written character of Edward Cullen is so gorgeously described by the author Stephenie Meyers and he is depicted by the devastatingly handsome Robert Pattinson. Just Fabulous. swoooon. Sorry back to the money making stuff.

So this is the review for the first month of this new decade for my money making experiment. I wasn’t really expecting to earn very much as I thought everyone had done all their searching and buying for the Christmas period so there would be a bit of a lull for the next few weeks. However the earnings are quite good.

I created 25 more hubpages this month and have already earned money from Amazon and from adsense on a few of these posts. I also added a couple more info barrels but this was mostly for supporting my other websites as opposed to generating money. As you can see, my info barrels are not doing so well at the moment. I might try to rectify that at some point.

Joining Adsense Sharing Websites

I have joined a couple more websites in order to create more back links. These sites were recommended by a few people who are themselves quite successful with hubpages. One site I joined is SheToldMe.com. This is easy to join and you can earn adsense with it too.

I also joined Xomba.com. This is similar to SheToldMe.com. The great thing about these two sites is that you only need to write about 50 words in order to add a link to whatever you like. I have been using them both to create links to my hubs, barrels, and posts on my sites.

My adsense results are pretty much similar to the last couple of months. Here are the adsense earnings for January 2010.

Earnings This Month

Adsense earnings from Hubs = £39.51 last month = £41.72

Adsense earnings for Info barrels = £5.57 last month = £19.96

Adsense earnings from Free blogger blogs = £21.90 last month = £9.21

Adsense earnings from my Hosted sites = £42.13 last month = £33.87

Unknown earnings = £5.59

Total Adsense Earnings = £114.70 last month = £104.76

Making Money With Amazon

There has been a decrease in the commission earned via Amazon. I hope to be able to create more hubs and my own websites in order get these numbers up.

Total Earnings from Amazon this month =£73 last month = £152

Ideas For February

I have invested in a few more of my own hosted domains and am slowly trying to add new posts to each one. The next thing that will be taking up the majority of February will my backlinking strategy. I have already started on this and it is oh sooo boring. However if this will help to get my sites and posts onto the first page of Google searches, then I know the work, boring as it is, will be worth it.

Earnings For November 09

I have been progressing very slowly on my money making experiment. There are so many things that I want to do but there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. It is a little difficult to stay focused on the task in hand, which is to write article after article after article, as well as get on with my offline life.

The good news is that money made from adsense has stayed fairly consistent when compared to my earnings for October 09.

My Hosted Sites

I bought four more sites and have now added at least four posts to each one and I have also written a few ezine articles for backlink support. I need to get a little more organised so that I write enough for one niche before I move on to the next. I get a little bored though so could be quite a challenge.

Hubpages & Infobarrels

I am still using hubpages to test out certain keywords. I have created 30 more hubs and have seen that a couple are in the top ten results in the Google search engine which is great. I have only added a couple of new infobarrels this month. They are quicker to create, they get plenty of views but they don’t result in as many adsense clicks but they are good for backlinks.

Make money with hubpages today and make money with info barrels today.

My Free Blogger Blogs

I don’t think I will be creating any more of these. I might as well spend the money and pay for a domain then I know that I have complete control. However the ones I have are still making money so that’s great.

So to my earnings for November 09:

Adsense earnings from Hubs = £44.32 last month = £34.92

Adsense earnings for Info barrels = £20.17 last month = £15.40

Adsense earnings from Free blogger blogs =£18.87 last month = £31.07

Adsense earnings from my Hosted sites = £30.24 last month = £29.88

Total Adsense earnings = £113.60 last month = £111.27

Making Money With Amazon

This has been a great month for me. I have made a significant increase since last month’s figure. This could be down to the fact that the holiday season will soon be upon us so people are buying more. I have also made quite a few sites and hubpages with Amazon links. My best sale for this month was for a Nintendo Wii which earned me $13 in commissions. What makes this even better is that I do not have any sites promoting this type of product.

Amazon Earnings For November 09:

Total earnings from Amazon this month =£99 last month = £29.10

Not bad. Let’s see how this will measure up to the figure for December 09.

I hope to buy at least 4 more domains this month and just continue to get those valuable adsense and Amazon clicks.

This is the low down of my activities for September 09

So the month of September is over and what has been achieved during my money making experiment? Well I have finally seen the light and have started to invest my hard earned online money in tools and virtual real estate that should hopefully improve my fortunes.

I Bought Market Samurai

After completing the 30 Day Challenge for the second year, I have now purchased Market Samurai, the keyword tool that was what we used to do all our research with.

During the challenge we had an incredible 40 day free trial and with the very well made video tutorials created by the Market Samurai ninja team, I really got to understand the benefits so I bought it. I still have a lot to learn in order to really gain all the benefits but I wanted to get it at the discounted price and I will always have the videos to refresh my memory.

Time To Invest In My Own Host Websites

After checking my adsense earnings, I have noticed that I have double the amount of free websites (blogger blogs) compared to my hosted sites but they produce roughly the same amount of money. I have finally realised that I should not be afraid of to spend £4-6 for a domain name because I am now confident enough to believe that I can make that amount of money back in adsense without too much problem.

Even if it turns out to be a dud keyword phrase, all is not lost and if it is a good choice then I will be quids in and taking one step forward towards building up a successful portfolio. To that end, I have purchased two new sites this month and hope to get some content on them during the next couple of weeks.

My Goal To Create 50 Amazon Related Hubs & Barrels

My earnings for September are fairly consistent because I was concentrating on c reating hubpages and info barrels for Amazon affiliate links. I took on board the tips provided by Tracey Edwards about how to make money with Amazon and set a goal of producing 50 posts. I didn’t think that I would make it as I got a little jaded and despondent in the middle of the month; however I got my second wind and managed to churn out the majority of them in the last few days.

I am very happy to report that I have already achieved a couple of sales already and hope to see a few more over the next few weeks as the hubs and barrels settle into Google’s search engine lists.

So to my earnings for September 09:

Adsense earnings from Hubs = £34.69

Adsense earnings for Info barrels = £28.65

Adsense earnings from Free blogger blogs = £25.88

Adsense earnings from my Hosted sites = £25.86

Total Adsense earnings = £115.08 (last month £103.28)

Total earnings from Amazon this month = £13.75

I will most probably be cutting down on the amount of hubs and barrels that I produce as I concentrate on my own sites so it will be interesting to see how my earnings will fare next month.

I also need to investigate other possible ways of monetizing my sites so that I am not dependent on adsense and Amazon.
