Earnings For August 2011

Throughout the month of August I worked steadily and did a little bit for most of my revenue streams. My Money Making Experiment is moving along slowly and unfortunately there has been a dip in earnings for this month.

I did a couple of new things for this blog. I wrote a mini product review for Tiffany Dow’s PLR ATM and I added a Resources Page. It is just a brief description of all the products that I have invested in and my opinion of them. This is a way to share what I use and a way to earn a little commission from this site

Adsense – I didn’t do anything for this revenue stream. Money is still being earned through my Hubpages, Infobarrels and a little bit from my niche websites, both hosted and blogger blogs.

Amazon – The earnings dipped this month mainly due to the fact that the summer holidays were ending so one of my summer specific sites got less visitors and sales. However my Halloween sites are gaining a little more attention so I look forward to September’s results.

Clickbank – My clickbank site has disappeared off the face of the earth so absolutely no sales here. Boo hoo.

The PLR Boutique – I added a few more packs to the site, connected with people and made some nice sales.

Email Blogging – I slowly put together my ebook and it has finally come together. No money has been made here yet but I look forward to what will happen in September.

Goals for September

There are so many things that I want to do but I have to try and break it down to only a few goals for the month otherwise I will end up just feeling overwhelmed and achieve nothing.

Work on My PLR Site

I am still working to add new article packs to The PLR Boutique. I aim to write at least 10 articles per week so that I have either one 10-pack or 2x 5-packs to offer. The next thing that I want to do this month is to set up an affiliate program so that other people can help to sell my products. This should help to increase sales to people who haven’t yet discovered the website. I have reinvested in my business by purchasing DL Guard and am currently setting up the JAM affiliate program.

I have realised that I really enjoy writing articles (much more than doing back link work) and so have officially set up a Ghost Writer For Hire page on my website. I will see how this goes and re-evaluate next month.

Email Blogging

Now that the eBook for my practice site is complete, I just need to tweak the email offer and I hope to send it out to the little list that I have for this experiment. We’ll see what happens.

Earnings For July 2011

I got my butt in gear for July and am very happy to see such a positive result from a relevantly new revenue stream in my Money Making Experiment.

The newest revenue stream that I am talking about is The PLR Boutique, which has been really fun to work on.

This will help me to get closer to my goal of earning £1,000 per month online.

Adsense – Not much change here really. I haven’t added any extra articles to Infobarrel or Hubpages or my own sites so this is truly passive.

Amazon – I am selling different things from different websites but the earnings have remained around the same. I set up 4 new sites (2 Halloween related, 2 toy) and two of them are already on the first page of Google. No sales yet but this was a great result. I must be doing something right with my keyword research; I just wish it was more consistent.

Clickbank – I was pleasantly surprised to see a purchase made during the last week of this month. I really want to work on promoting a couple more Clickbank products so will need to do a little research in order to pick some good keywords.

The PLR Boutique – Well June was completely rubbish, due to lack of me actually doing anything as I was distracted by the Tennis at Wimbledon. However July’s results were a little better. This figure is based on active work that I started half way through the month.

WSO – Free PLR Offer - The free offer that I placed on The Warrior Forum resulted in gaining over 100 people on my email list. Obviously many are freebie seekers, but some are/have been potential buyers.

Additional motivation was gained by following Tiffany Dow’s lead in her 30 Day PLR Challenge. She encouraged people to get writing in order to populate their sites. The challenge will end in about 10 days. This is a nice way to break up the writing process and get stuff done without feeling stressed out.

Email Blogging – I am still editing my eBook for my practice site and I have also started another campaign which I hope to complete by the end of this week.

Goals for August - I am feeling really motivated this month so I hope I can maintain this level to get a few things achieved.

Work on My PLR Site - I have really enjoyed working on The PLR Boutique and hope to continue producing article packs. The initial plan is to write a minimum of 10 articles per week for the site and see what the potential earnings will bring.

After the success of my Warrior Forum Offer, I hope to add another special offer by the end of the month.

Email Blogging - I hope to finish work on the eBook for my practice site as well as complete my other email based campaign. I will write more about this next month.

I Need Your Help – Adsense Keywords

I really want to create an adsense site but I am not sure what type of keywords I should be looking at. I would really appreciate any guidance on this. What area should I be researching? Any ideas? Let me know.

Earnings For June 2011

June was a very lazy month for me. I had good intentions at the beginning of the month but as soon as the tennis started, my money making experiement took a backseat. So I am happy to see that I did make a little bit of passive money.

I earned a few pounds more in June than in May, which is fantastic since I didn’t do much.

Adsense – The interesting thing here is that earnings from Infobarrel have doubled this month compared to May. I have fewer articles here but I wouldn’t be surprised if they surpassed Hubpages.

Amazon – Earnings went up a little bit here. Happy the figure is going in the right direction, even if it is slow.

Clickbank – I only have one site since Hubpages banned clickbank links. This site is nowhere near where it should be and it is a dot info site too. Not sure if it is worth the hassle.

The PLR Boutique – I had great plans for June but didn’t get round to doing the work. I had packs to add my site but….. Oh well, must do better.

Email Blogging – One thing I did get around to was to add a sign up widget to one of my little sites. This is the one I am using to practice email blogging as described by Glen from Viperchill. I put together my free ebook and have set up part of my auto responder series. It is a topic I love which makes it easy to write but I am not sure there is much money in it. With absolutely no promotion, very little traffic and on a blogger blog site, 4 people have already signed up. Just imagine what could happen if I actually put some effort into it. We shall see.

I hope to be able to add a free WSO in order to start work on building up a list for The PLR Boutique. The articles are written and ready to go.

Continue Work on Email Blogging programme

I want to finish off the articles for my practice site and I hope to add a free eBook to one of my other sites. I also need to work on good quality eBooks that I can then sell to these lists.

Earnings For May 2011

It feels like the month of May went really quickly and now here we are in June. Wow.

The picture – I recently discovered Undercovers – a tv show about married CIA agents. Unfortunately due to low ratings only one series was made.

It was fun while it lasted and interesting to find out that the actress is British and the gorgeous actor is Austrian.

Anyhoo – back to business. Here’s a quick round up of my money making experiment for May.

Adsense – Well, looking over my earnings for May I am very pleased to see that the numbers have started to go in the right direction. I have earned more this month through the Hubpages Adsense programme compared to last month, but in combination with my own adsense link, the numbers are still lower than they used to be.

Amazon – Nice to see the figures going back up. I have a couple of summer related sites so this has generated a little extra income.

Clickbank – I only promote 2 low gravity products and this was doing well but the combination of a refund and having to remove the links from my hubpages has brought the figure down. There is quite a lot of money to be made from this income stream by picking much better products and doing much more work. I would like to look into this at some point.

The PLR Boutique – I have made good start with The PLR Boutique, the site where I am selling PLR articles for $1 per article. I have enjoyed the learning process and hope to see a jump in earnings for June.

Create More PLR Article Packs

I have now gotten into the good habit of writing a minimum of 5 articles per day. These are both for the PLR site as well as for my own websites. I hope to complete 30 PLR packs for The PLR Boutique.

Create An Email Marketing Programme

After watching Cloud Blueprint a video series created by Glen from Viperchill.com about email marketing I am currently in the process of creating my own autoresponder programme. People keep saying that the money is in the list and this is something that has really piqued my interest so I hope to have it up and running by the end of the Month.

Earnings For April 2011

The good news for April 2011– I went on a fantastic holiday for 3 weeks (hence the delay in posting). I visited my sister who is working for Disney. She was contracted to work on the Disney Dream Cruise Line so this was the ultimate budget holiday for me filled with sleeping, eating, reading and sitting in the sun all day long. It was wonderful.

The bad news – I did not do any online work which is evident in my earnings.

Making Money With Adsense

I had signed up one of my profiles with the Hubpages Adsense Programme but it hasn’t made a difference to the downward slide of my adsense earnings. Hubs are disappearing left, right and centre. I have now signed up my other hubpages profiles so will see if this will make any difference for May.

Total Adsense Earnings = £146.65 Last Month = £167.16

Making Money with Amazon

Again due to the downward spiral of Hubs, my Amazon earnings have been affected.

Earnings from Amazon USA this month = £205.80 Last Month = £277.71

Earnings from Amazon UK this month = £13.13 Last Month = £2.22

Earnings from Clickbank =£6.60 Last Month = £32.86

Earnings from Kontera = £2.61 Last Month = £3.44

TOTAL EARNINGS FOR APRIL 2011

= £375.67 Last Month = £ 484.80

The positives are that I earned this money and only worked one week in April. As always, I wish the figure was higher. I am not enjoying the southward direction that my money making experiment is taking at all.

However I am fully refreshed, recharged and ready to work hard in order to clock up those much needed dollars and pounds.

Goals For May

I will be adding new articles to my PLR site called The PLR Boutique. I hope that this will be a new avenue of revenue. I will continue to add articles to my Amazon sites. Fingers crossed that May will look a little bit better.
