Adsense – Nothing was added to my adsense sites or web 2.0 properties.  This would therefore make this month’s earnings completely passive, which is a couple of quid less than last month.

Amazon – As a result of the Halloween season, I am very happy with the increase in earnings for October.

Clickbank – One sale made via this affiliate source. I was very happy to receive a cheque in the post as I didn’t expect to reach the payout threshold with only one sale this month.

Commission Junction – This is the second month that I have earned something through this affiliate.  It was a Halloween product so if I need to work on promoting another product otherwise I will not get the payout.

The PLR Boutique – This month was quieter than I had expected.  I held a WSO but it didn’t do as well as I had expected (boo hoo).

My PLR Site

I will continue to write articles for new PLR packs for The PLR Boutique. Hopefully I will manage at least 2 packs this month.

Writer for Hire

I need to make some more cash so I will place a “Warrior for Hire” ad on the Warrior Forum in order to generate some more instant revenue.

The most important things that I need to work on this month is to figure out exactly what it is that I want to do online.  Once I have it straight in my own head, then I can make proper decisions and focus.

The newest revenue stream that I am talking about is The PLR Boutique, which has been really fun to work on.

This will help me to get closer to my goal of earning £1,000 per month online.

Adsense – Not much change here really. I haven’t added any extra articles to Infobarrel or Hubpages or my own sites so this is truly passive.

Amazon – I am selling different things from different websites but the earnings have remained around the same.  I set up 4 new sites (2 Halloween related, 2 toy) and two of them are already on the first page of Google.  No sales yet but this was a great result. I must be doing something right with my keyword research; I just wish it was more consistent.

Clickbank – I was pleasantly surprised to see a purchase made during the last week of this month. I really want to work on promoting a couple more Clickbank products so will need to do a little research in order to pick some good keywords.

The PLR Boutique – Well June was completely rubbish, due to lack of me actually doing anything as I was distracted by the Tennis at Wimbledon.  However July’s results were a little better.  This figure is based on active work that I started half way through the month.

WSO – Free PLR Offer - The free offer that I placed on The Warrior Forum resulted in gaining over 100 people on my email list. Obviously many are freebie seekers, but some are/have been potential buyers.

Additional motivation was gained by following Tiffany Dow’s lead in her 30 Day PLR Challenge.  She encouraged people to get writing in order to populate their sites.  The challenge will end in about 10 days.  This is a nice way to break up the writing process and get stuff done without feeling stressed out.

Email Blogging – I am still editing my eBook for my practice site and I have also started another campaign which I hope to complete by the end of this week.

Goals for August - I am feeling really motivated this month so I hope I can maintain this level to get a few things achieved.

Work on My PLR Site - I have really enjoyed working on The PLR Boutique and hope to continue producing article packs. The initial plan is to write a minimum of 10 articles per week for the site and see what the potential earnings will bring.

After the success of my Warrior Forum Offer, I hope to add another special offer by the end of the month.

Email Blogging - I hope to finish work on the eBook for my practice site as well as complete my other email based campaign. I will write more about this next month.

I Need Your Help – Adsense Keywords

I really want to create an adsense site but I am not sure what type of keywords I should be looking at.  I would really appreciate any guidance on this. What area should I be researching?  Any ideas? Let me know.

So after the great feeling of achievement for my earnings in December 2010, it is back to reality for the month of January 2011. I am not going to beat myself up about the sharp decrease in earnings because I am grateful to be making some money online.  It means that I must be doing something right.  I just need to do it even righter – (can ya tell English is my mother tongue???!)

I spent most of the time getting rid of a few of my non performing sites. This meant removing blog posts so that I could use them elsewhere.  I also tried to implement a working schedule to measure how much I actually do. The results?  Well, there is definitely a lot of room for improvement. I have sort of figured out a daily task sheet, I just have to get on with it and not get distracted by my Google Reader, the TV, watching Army Wives eating, drinking, navel gazing etc.

Anyhoo – The results for January

During this month of my money making experiment, I added a couple of blog posts to new sites, a few hubs here and a couple of barrels there.  That’s about it.  It is nice to see that even though I may not have done too much, I was still able to earn something online. And it was lovely to receive an Amazon cheque in the post this morning. Kerching.

So Christmas is now well and truly over and we are back to the regular shoppers.  This means that I have to work on getting my sites, or rather posts, up on the first page of Google to get better results. Money Making Goals For February 2011

I have to try harder to stick to my daily task schedule in order to ensure I get my bloody backlinks work done for the sites I currently have.  Why is it such a boring job? I know I have to do it but I will find almost anything else to occupy my time instead.  MUST TRY HARDER!  Wish me luck.

The bad news is that the bulk of the new earnings came from a Halloween focused site so earnings will disappear from this niche site; however I had fun doing it and that is one of the reasons for doing what we do here right? The site is called Sookie Stackhouse Costume. As you will see, it is a dot info site and I chose to create this site because I have really enjoyed watching the True Blood series and have just gotten through reading a bunch of the books.  I did keyword research but the numbers weren’t that good but I had a feeling that people would want to buy the clothes that young Sookie wore as a Halloween costume and I only spent a few pence on the domain name so it was worth a punt.

During the month of October Google took my Sookie site off on a little trip not once but twice so it actually disappeared from the rankings for quite a few days.  Yes I was pissed off!! Really pissed off!! I have just checked and – yup – Google has taken Sookie off to see some other corner of the world again.  Oh well.

I would be really happy to get some feedback on the  Sookie Stackhouse costume site.  Is there anything I could have done to make it better etc. As you will see, I do favour the less is more approach to creating sites so please be kind.

With regards to my adsense earnings, I have not really done much with these sites.  I have added a few more barrels, hubpages, Xomba and Snipsly posts for backlinking purposes but the rest have stayed the same.  So this is really a passive income.

So the work that I have done with my Amazon sites has paid off.  A good portion was from the site mentioned above as well as an increase in the earnings of some of my hubpages. This is a fantastic result for me.

My Ongoing Efforts For November

I have been very good and like I said in my earnings for September post, I have not bought any more domains although I have been very tempted. That is the fun part of creating a site – spending the money. However for the month of November I will continue to add posts to my existing sites, add more backlinks and work towards getting these sites up onto the first page of Google.

New Page – My Online Earnings Summary

I have added My Online Earnings Summary page to this site so that you can see at a glance how I have been progressing with certain income streams. The progress is steady and I look forward to the day when these figures show a total of £1,000 per month.  I am sure that someone out there who is real good with the maths could actually work out how long it will take me to get to this magical (for me) figure based on my progress so far.

Still haven’t been able to break through that elusive £500 barrier. I am only £20 away. As I was checking my adsense results I noticed that one of my sites wasn’t generating a single cent.  I took a closer look and found that the site was offline.  It must have happened when I did an upgrade in August. That is the downside to having lots of sites. You miss things. However I sent an email to my hosting company Bluehost and they fixed it straightway. Talk about excellent service.

The thing that I have noticed is that I am making money with different sites and hubs.  I need to do more backlink work so that everything has the potential to make money at the same time, which will then in turn increase my overall revenue. I received a cheque in the post yesterday, which was nice.  However I wish that Amazon.com would get with the programme and simply deposit straight into my account like Adsense does.

My aims are similar to what I said in my Earnings for August 2010 post.  I will continue to add backlinks to my sites, hubs and barrels and ensure that each site has as least 10 posts each.  I will not buy any more domains but will look at investing my time and effort into securing the number 1,2,3 spots on the Google search engines for at least 4-5 of my sites cos that is where the money’s at!
