The month of August has not been a good one. At work four people were made redundant including my boss. He was one of the reasons why I enjoyed the job and now that his last day will be next week, the place is not going to be the same without him. The fact that I have now been given 90% of his job without much of a choice isn’t great either.
This is certainly something that is helping to motivate me even more to get on with my money making experiment to earn enough online so that I can also get the hell out. The place could just about run with the team that it had. Now with less staff, it is going to be ridiculous. Time to get moving and time to start making some real dough.
My Online Earnings For August 2010
Just as with my earnings for July 2010, my hope was to break through the £500 barrier this month but I failed again. This is very disappointing and very disheartening. I seem to have reached some sort of plateau at the moment and can’t get past this hurdle. This wasn’t the result that I wanted especially due to recent events.

I have only just recently started added more backlinks to some of my sites. The results have not shown up yet so my earnings have remained constant this month.
Total Earnings from Amazon USA this month = £269.08 last month = £269.93
Total Earnings from Amazon UK this month = £2.03 last month = £5.23

Earnings From Kontera = £9.49 – Last Month = £4.34

My Ongoing Efforts For September
There have been quite a lot of eBooks and online programmes published recently about how to make money online with Amazon. They really range in price but the best value for money has to be the 30 day guide to making $1,000 with Amazon post by Dave. He tells you everything you need to know and it won’t cost you a dime. Unfortunately I read this post just after I signed up with Unique Article Wizard so will work with this as a backlinking strategy for now.
I will be looking to add more backlinks to my current sites and to some to my hubpages, especially the Amazon ones. Some of these are doing well so want to ensure that they are ready for the Christmas period.
I have got a couple of new sites which I hope will also be successful with Christmas online shoppers.

I agree that problems with jobs/potential redundancy certainly helps concentrate the mind more. The company I work for (and the wider industry) has never been busier and so I have less motivation to devote time to online money making activities, but posts like this make me review my priorities. Well done on your earnings – at least they stayed relatively static in a time of year when many people take holidays etc and so spend less time/money online.

How old is your blogger blogs and self hosted sites. How you maintain them. I mean backlinks and all. If you can earn $35 from them. You can also earn 100+ too.

@Rahul – Thanks your stopping by. I have quite a few blogger but only about 10 have adsense on them. The rest provide backlinks to hosted sites. About 15 of my hosted sites have adsense but I haven’t done much work to improve their rankings yet. Hope to get round it that some time.

Time for some monster backlinking work and get everything up on to numero uno.
We have definitely noticed a major upturn in earnings by spending nearly all of our time just doing backlinks the last few months, boring but I now don’t write a single blog post without giving it at least 9 or 10 links to start with before I write another one.
Too much content and not enough backlinks has been a major problem up until now and the difference in how we work has paid off big time.
Oh, forgot to say, Hub respond very well to Backlinks Phillipines. They jump around for a few weeks then rank well. Worth a go.

At the moment I am finding it hard to concentrate on my online stuff as i am in the process of looking for another job. So am filling in what little time i have completing inane letters and brushing up my CV. The good news is that I am only looking for part time work so that I can use half my time working in the real world and the rest in the online realm.
I am currently working on spinning articles like mad to create those juicy backlinks. For dessert I will finish off with a Backlinks Phillipines pack via your link of course.
