This Month’s Distraction – Eat, Pray, Love
During the month of February I slowly tried to implement a proper plan of action. I was not completely successful. I know exactly what I need to do but I just kept getting sidetracked and distracted by this and that. One distraction was the film Eat, Pray, Love starring Julia Roberts (it was OK, not great but I did like watching the parts about Rome, and recognizing the places that I had visited).
Anyway, back to the point. Here are the results of my online earnings for the month of February 2011.
Making Money With Adsense
As usual, I added a few hubpages and infobarrels for backlinking purposes as well as working on my own sites. I would say that this is truly passive income at the moment.
Total Adsense Earnings = £184.72 Last Month = £187.75
Making Money With Amazon
I earned a few quid more that I did in January but the number is not as high as I would have hoped. Amazon UK is a complete bust. Plenty of clicks but not a single penny earned.
Earnings from Amazon USA this month = £368.91 Last Month = £351.59
Earnings from Amazon UK this month = £0 Last Month = £0.54
Odds & Sods
Earnings From Clickbank =£0 Last Month = £36.61
Earnings From Kontera = £3.90 Last Month = £3.28
Earnings From Chikita = £0.32 Last Month = £1.16
TOTAL EARNINGS FOR FEBRARY 2011
= £557.85 Last Month = £ 580.93
So my earnings are down by £23. Rubbish. I suppose this could be due to the shorter month but I also know that I have to make even more of an effort to improve. Clickbank was a little disappointing. The one product that converted was on a hubpage so we shall see if this month will be back to normal or not. With regards to Amazon, I have to concentrate on products that cost more in order to get bigger commissions.
Money Making Goals For March
I have my work schedule figured out but I just have to stick to it. There are a couple of other things that I want to try out this month too. In particular, I am interested in setting up a PLR site so that I can add another revenue stream to my online money making experiment. This will be a fascinating journey and I look forward to the challenge. I will be purchasing Tiffany Dow’s PLR ATM product in order to achieve this goal. Wish me luck.
Google’s Getting Jiggy With It!
I can’t finish without mentioning the Google Smoogle Algorithm thing. Over these first few days of March I have noticed a distinct decrease in adsense clicks from my hubs so it will be interesting to see what March’s earnings will show.

The Google algorithm change has hit me pretty hard to (will blog about that very soon). However, I have recently been invited into the Hubpages ad program which if it comes off should hopefully result in me earning more than before the Google changes (will blog about this too). I hope you don’t get hit to hard by the changes.

I’m finding Amazon to be pretty weak too at the moment, although I think it is only by comparison since things were going so well in November and December (As you know!).
I’m sorry to hear about your hubs. I can’t remember how big hubpages are for you in terms of your overall business, but it looks like a lot of hubbers suffered. Hopefully diversifying will help, which it sounds like you are planning to do. Best wishes for March!
