Earnings For March 2010

Making Money In March

The progress for my money making experiment for March 2010 has been really good, however I did get a little distracted due to the release of the Twilight New Moon DVD.

I am fan of the Twilight collection, both books and films so after reading all the books, I had to see the movie.  People are choosing between being a follower of Edward Cullen, the beautiful vampire or Jacob Black the gorgeous werewolf. I have to admit that I am a member of Team Edward.

But I digress – Between reading the Twilight books and enjoying the DVD, I have managed to get some money making work done.

I created a few more hubpages and bought four more domain names.  I have written a few posts on a couple of them at the moment and have already generated quite a few articles using the Best Spinner.  I have been really happy with this particular acquisition because it is easy to use and the multiple articles I have been able to generate have all been accepted by Ezine Articles or have been published on info barrels and hubpages without any problems.

So to the interesting facts for March – How much did I earn?

Earnings This Month

Adsense earnings from Hubs = £70.44 last month = £49.60

Adsense earnings for Info barrels = £12.50 last month = £7.59

Adsense earnings from Free blogger blogs = £24.57 last month = £14.21

Adsense earnings from my Hosted sites = £89.46 last month = £51.81

Adsense earnings from Xomba & Snipsly = £2.02 last month = £2.27

Unknown earnings = £5.51 last month = £8.20

Total Adsense Earnings = £204.50 last month = £133.68

Making Money With Amazon

Earnings from Amazon have also increased this month. I am over the moon that I have passed the £100 mark again.  I wasn’t sure how long it would take to get to this point again after the Christmas period.  Earnings are from both my hosted sites as well as hubpages.

Total Earnings from Amazon =£108.65 last month = £68.29

GRAND TOTAL = £313.15 last month = £201.97

Miles Stones

It is an excellent feeling to reach the figure of £200 plus for adsense alone.  I was looking forward to getting to £150 for this month so to surpass this figure is wonderful.

Earnings Via Hubpages

The increase has been a nice surprise since I haven’t really written that much this month. It seems that the work I have already done is nicely maturing. I look forward to getting to the £100 mark for hubpages alone.

Earnings Via My Hosted Sites

The adsense earned on my websites is also great.  I am getting a little bit better at choosing better keywords so that my web pages get onto the first page of Google.

Earnings Via Amazon UK

I have finally made money via Amazon in the UK.  I wasn’t really interested in this particular market as Amazon UK does not offer a wide range of goods compared with the American site.  However I was pleasantly surprised to check my account this month and find that 4 items had been ordered. The items were dispatched on 1st April so I will add the commission to April’s earnings.  I will now continue to add UK links to future websites that I create.

Ideas For April

The same thought keeps going through my mind – keep focussed, create a schedule and keep to it. I will try but sometimes writing articles can get so monotonous, that I can’t help but get distracted by reading other people’s blogs or watching rubbish on the TV.

Creating Squidoo Pages

I do want to start experimenting with Squidoo.  I have created a couple so far as backlinks to my domains and it seems to be pretty straightforward.  I have learned enough basic coding to place clickable pictures and anchor links where I want them so I will see if I can make a success with Squidoo.

Right, I might just watch my New Twilight Moon DVD one more time before I …….., no, focus….

These are some amazing figures especially when compared to mine but then I guess you have over 6x more hubs than me and over 10x more Infobarrels not to mention your own hosted sites (the most advanced I have got is my own Blogger blogs which aren’t on very targeted things!).

Bristolboy – Thanks for stopping by. As you can see, it did take some time to get to where I am at the moment and I still have a long way to go. I started off doing everything for free (cashback sites, surveys, blogger blogs, hubpages etc) and when I started making a little bit of cash, i started investing that in hosting and my own domains.
I look forward to watching your own success.

  3. lol I guess we all hooked on Twilight. I love those movies.

Nice earnings, you doing far better than I with adsense.

Deneil – Thanks for your comment. I look forward to reaching the heady heights that you have achieved – if only I could stay away from The New Moon DVD!! Oh well, everyone needs a little time off from the laptop.

Congrats on your earnings! I love detailed statistics about HubPages since for the longest time I only believed in building my own websites — but after a little investigation and actually building two Hubs of my own, I can see how leveraging HubPages’ Google love could be beneficial and more cost effective than building a new website for every profitable niche I come across.

Hi Flippa Chick – I also love reading other people’s statistics as it is a great motivator. Hubpages is easy to write for so it is a nice way to make a little cash while also gaining backlinks.

    Hi there,

Have been following your blog since I got to know it from Ben’s site.

Congrats on hitting the 200 milestone! Must feel great.

I have some questions about infobarrel that I hope you don’t sharing your experience.

    i) What is the number of articles you have on Infobarrel to increase that number?
ii) Do they rank well or they are just pulling in the long tail?
iii) Do you build backlinks to them?

I had initially wanted to use infobarrel for backlinks only but since I can earn some coins with them, I though I should optimise my efforts: get backlinks and earn money with Infobarrel at the same time.

It also helps that I recently got a $3 click from one of my old articles. That sparked my interest : )

Aaron – I have over 100 articles on Infobarrel but they aren’t that good really so they haven’t ranked very well. I started writing them when I really didn’t have a clue what I was doing. The good thing is that they do earn a little bit of coinage and they are great for backlinks.
I have written some ezine articles as backlinks for a couple but thats about it. I prefer the layout of hubpages so do a lot more work there.
