Earnings For February 2010

February was a good learning curve for my money making experiment, despite some procrastination along the way.

January was all about being distracted by Edward Cullen in The Twilight collection of books and DVD and February’s’ distraction came from Bill Compton and Sookie Stackhouse in True Blood. This is the vampire story for the older generation with a lot more sex, violence and death by vampire attacks. And did I mention the sex? Glorious.

Anyway….. I have been busy creating more backlinks for the sites that I have bought and for quite a few of my hubpages.

This has consisted of writing countless articles and adding little snippets to sites like Xomba, Snipsly and SheToldMe.

I have invested some of my hard earned online cash in the newest article spinner on the block called The Best Spinner. It didn’t take too long to understand how to use it and I am happy to see that the articles I have been able to recreate have been accepted by ezinearticles with no problems.

At the moment I am only using the basic settings so I know that this tool can still do a whole lot more.

Evaluating My Websites

After doing a thorough evaluation of the sites I currently own, I know that I am doing the right things in order to get them onto the first page of Google. I now need to concentrate on picking keywords that have a higher search rate. This will lead naturally to higher earnings.

So to the interesting part, the breakdown of my earnings for February 2010.

Earnings This Month

Adsense earnings from Hubs = £49.60 last month = £39.51

Adsense earnings for Info barrels = £7.59 last month = £5.57

Adsense earnings from Free blogger blogs = £14.21 last month = £21.90

Adsense earnings from my Hosted sites = £51.81 last month = £42.13

Adsense earnings from Xomba & Snipsly = £2.27

Unknown earnings = £8.20

Total Adsense Earnings = £133.68 last month = £114.70

Making Money With Amazon

There has been a slight decrease in the commission earned via Amazon for February. I hope to be able to create more hubs and my own websites in order get these numbers up.

Total Earnings from Amazon this month =£68.29 last month = £73

Ideas For March

The month of March will see me continuing to create new websites. I will increase the amount of articles I produce for each site using the best spinner and try and attack keywords with a higher search rate.

I will still be producing several sites that may not make much money but are purely for fun. This is the only way to keep myself motivated.

Right – Time for the next True Blood episode, no I mean article writing…….

Earnings For January 2010

My money making activities were slightly interrupted as I am currently hooked on Twilight. I have read the first book, seen the film and am working my way through the next one. The written character of Edward Cullen is so gorgeously described by the author Stephenie Meyers and he is depicted by the devastatingly handsome Robert Pattinson. Just Fabulous. swoooon. Sorry back to the money making stuff.

So this is the review for the first month of this new decade for my money making experiment. I wasn’t really expecting to earn very much as I thought everyone had done all their searching and buying for the Christmas period so there would be a bit of a lull for the next few weeks. However the earnings are quite good.

I created 25 more hubpages this month and have already earned money from Amazon and from adsense on a few of these posts. I also added a couple more info barrels but this was mostly for supporting my other websites as opposed to generating money. As you can see, my info barrels are not doing so well at the moment. I might try to rectify that at some point.

Joining Adsense Sharing Websites

I have joined a couple more websites in order to create more back links. These sites were recommended by a few people who are themselves quite successful with hubpages. One site I joined is SheToldMe.com. This is easy to join and you can earn adsense with it too.

I also joined Xomba.com. This is similar to SheToldMe.com. The great thing about these two sites is that you only need to write about 50 words in order to add a link to whatever you like. I have been using them both to create links to my hubs, barrels, and posts on my sites.

My adsense results are pretty much similar to the last couple of months. Here are the adsense earnings for January 2010.

Earnings This Month

Adsense earnings from Hubs = £39.51 last month = £41.72

Adsense earnings for Info barrels = £5.57 last month = £19.96

Adsense earnings from Free blogger blogs = £21.90 last month = £9.21

Adsense earnings from my Hosted sites = £42.13 last month = £33.87

Unknown earnings = £5.59

Total Adsense Earnings = £114.70 last month = £104.76

Making Money With Amazon

There has been a decrease in the commission earned via Amazon. I hope to be able to create more hubs and my own websites in order get these numbers up.

Total Earnings from Amazon this month =£73 last month = £152

Ideas For February

I have invested in a few more of my own hosted domains and am slowly trying to add new posts to each one. The next thing that will be taking up the majority of February will my backlinking strategy. I have already started on this and it is oh sooo boring. However if this will help to get my sites and posts onto the first page of Google searches, then I know the work, boring as it is, will be worth it.

I decided to record my money making experiment to see if it was possible to make money online. Here are the results for December 09 and a look back at my money making activities for 2009.

Back in 2008, I had very little knowledge about making money on the internet. I managed to figure out how to sign up with adsense and how to set up a site and started to earn a few pennies a month.

In June 2009 I started to put some work into making cash and my adsense earnings was about £30. I didn’t have a clue about making money with Amazon.

The results over the last few months have been good and bad. The good news is that almost everything that I have tried has been successful. I have made money online.

The bad news is that my progress has not been as quick as I had hoped it would be. This has been due to many things but mainly procrastination as well as down right laziness and fear. If I had worked more diligently my figures surely would have been higher.

Nevertheless the fact that I have achieved some of the goals I set myself gives me cause to smile. Hooray!!

Making Money With Adsense

I have consistently reached the adsense payout threshold in the last few months which is absolutely fantastic but now I need to concentrate on increasing the money. This will be done by creating more hubpages because are really quick to write up.

I have read lots of helpful tips and information from other sites and forums and I have tried to incorporate many of these factors in my money making experiment.

I have slowly started to invest in my own hosted sites and hope that they will do well in the future. They are a mixture of adsense and Amazon affiliate sites.

Earnings This Month

Adsense earnings from Hubs = £41.72 last month = £44.32

Adsense earnings for Info barrels = £19.96 last month = £12.17

Adsense earnings from Free blogger blogs = £9.21 last month = £18.87

Adsense earnings from my Hosted sites = £33.87 last month = £30.24

Total Adsense earnings = £104.76 last month = £113.60

Making Money With Amazon

I have been making money with Amazon creating hubpages and I have also started to create my own hosted websites. This takes longer to do but it is very satisfying to see my efforts repaid with visitors clicking away and making their purchases.

Total earnings from Amazon this month =£152 last month = £99

Total Earnings For 2009

Adsense earnings for 2009 = £798.90

Amazon earnings for 2009 = £313.58

Grand Earnings For 2009 = £1,112.48

Conclusion

I can make money online. Yippee. I can pick keywords that find their way on the first page of the Google search engine. Now I have to learn how to pick words that either pay more per click or get a larger amount of traffic each day. I also need to do more of the boring stuff that will keep my sites on the first page – create backlinks.

I have some ways to go before I can give up the day job but I look forward to the new challenges that 2010 will bring and all the new online money making opportunities that will arise.

All it takes is time and patience and maybe a little spot of luck. It would be great to see my earnings reports read £1,000 per month instead of per year so I will be working towards fufilling this goal and I am fully positive that I can achieve it too.

Earnings For November 09

I have been progressing very slowly on my money making experiment. There are so many things that I want to do but there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. It is a little difficult to stay focused on the task in hand, which is to write article after article after article, as well as get on with my offline life.

The good news is that money made from adsense has stayed fairly consistent when compared to my earnings for October 09.

My Hosted Sites

I bought four more sites and have now added at least four posts to each one and I have also written a few ezine articles for backlink support. I need to get a little more organised so that I write enough for one niche before I move on to the next. I get a little bored though so could be quite a challenge.

Hubpages & Infobarrels

I am still using hubpages to test out certain keywords. I have created 30 more hubs and have seen that a couple are in the top ten results in the Google search engine which is great. I have only added a couple of new infobarrels this month. They are quicker to create, they get plenty of views but they don’t result in as many adsense clicks but they are good for backlinks.

Make money with hubpages today and make money with info barrels today.

My Free Blogger Blogs

I don’t think I will be creating any more of these. I might as well spend the money and pay for a domain then I know that I have complete control. However the ones I have are still making money so that’s great.

So to my earnings for November 09:

Adsense earnings from Hubs = £44.32 last month = £34.92

Adsense earnings for Info barrels = £20.17 last month = £15.40

Adsense earnings from Free blogger blogs =£18.87 last month = £31.07

Adsense earnings from my Hosted sites = £30.24 last month = £29.88

Total Adsense earnings = £113.60 last month = £111.27

Making Money With Amazon

This has been a great month for me. I have made a significant increase since last month’s figure. This could be down to the fact that the holiday season will soon be upon us so people are buying more. I have also made quite a few sites and hubpages with Amazon links. My best sale for this month was for a Nintendo Wii which earned me $13 in commissions. What makes this even better is that I do not have any sites promoting this type of product.

Amazon Earnings For November 09:

Total earnings from Amazon this month =£99 last month = £29.10

Not bad. Let’s see how this will measure up to the figure for December 09.

I hope to buy at least 4 more domains this month and just continue to get those valuable adsense and Amazon clicks.

Earnings For October 09

In the month of October I wanted to concentrate on purchasing and working on my own hosted domains during my money making experiment. I thought that this is the way to ensure that everything I do and write will always belong to me unless I let the sites lapse.

My Hosted Sites

This month, I purchased 4 new domains. Each has at least four or more posts and a couple of Ezine articles, hubpages or inforbarrels as backlinks.

I wanted to create all adsense based sites but the keywords I chose for two of them seemed to work better for Amazon based products. I have therefore concentrated on that for 2 of the sites and will continue to build up the others for adsense earning possibilities.

Infobarrels & Hubpages

It was interesting to see the results from these sites this month. I only added a couple of new barrels and hubs and just wanted to see how they would fair. The adsense earnings from hubpages stayed almost the same. However the money from infobarrels really decreased. This is strange as most people have commented that infobarrels have more juice than hubs. Let’s see what happens for November.

Free Bloggers

Making money with free bloggers has been quite good this month. One site in particular did very well for me this month and that is where I earned the majority of the adsense figure from. This site consists of four posts, a couple of ezines and a hubpage as a backlink. This earned £25 on its own, which is great.

So to my earnings for October 09:

Adsense earnings from Hubs = £34.92 last month = £34.69

Adsense earnings for Info barrels = £15.40 last month = £28.65

Adsense earnings from Free blogger blogs = £31.07 last month = £25.88

Adsense earnings from my Hosted sites = £29.88 last month = £25.86

Total Adsense earnings = £111.27 last month = £115.08

Total earnings from Amazon this month = £29.10 last month = £13.75

The month of November will involved more keyword testing and I hope to buy at least five more new sites. Time to get writing.
