I have dipped my toe into affiliate marketing. I created my first site using a free wordpress blog with one link to a clickbank product. As I was still learning all about websites and how to actually write a blog post, create links etc, I wasn’t really expecting much. It was a case of putting the theory into practice. Anyway I left the site with 2 posts on it and one link and carried on trying to learn more about making money online.
About 6 months later, I decided to visit my clickbank account and to my amazement, I found that two people had actually bought the product! I couldn’t believe it. I mean I was over the moon but the product that I chose to write about and link to wasn’t and isn’t particularly highly sought after and I only chose it because it was something that I was interested in and so it made it easier to write that initial post.
Anyway since then I have made another sale – yippee! This brings my Clickbank total to the awesome sum of $22.50. As you can see, I still have a lot to learn about affiliate marketing but I will persevere until I crack the code. Once I have I can rinse and repeat, meaning I will know exactly what works and can keep repeating the processing for future projects.
I hope other people are having more success. Maybe you can tell me where I am going wrong or right. Any feedback would be great.
