Making money from adsense is a great way to make money online and I have been very busy trying to make a little bit more this month.

The month of July was mostly spent creating hubpages. I completed my 100 hubs in 30 days challenge, which was hard work but I persevered. I have been following Ben’s example from make money online with SEO. My skills at keyword research are nowhere near his but I am very happy with the amount I have made so far. My Info Barrel Money Making Experiment

I want to repeat the hubpage challenge but instead, create info barrels. I want to get to 100 articles so that I can see the same adsense earnings as my hubs.

So far I have created 33 barrels and have earned $5.02, so I want to step it up and try and get at least 50 more completed by the end of August.

My Blogger Blogs Money Making Experiment

I have started to create mini adsense sites using blogger blogs. Taking the advice of Ben and others, I have created my 4 – 5 page mini sites and I have put links into the relevant hubpages and info barrels that I have already created. The fantastic thing is that I have already made some money from them.

I have a total of 6 blogger blogs at the moment, one was a hobby site that receives only ezine article traffic, one was a keyword experiment and I created the other 4 blogger sites from 27 – 30 July, which breaks down to one for each day. From the new ones, two of them have already got adsense clicks. At the moment I am still learning so my earnings are not that high and my sites are most probably very easy to find. However, once I feel like I really know what I am doing, I will start to create new hubpage and info barrel profiles so that my niches are not so transparent. I will also start to invest more in my own hosted websites so that I own my own website properties 100%.

So to the money side of things:

My Adsense Earnings For July 09

Hubpages created = 130
Adsense earnings from hubpages = $73.15 (last month = $5.51)
My hosted sites = $46.63 (last month = $50.08)
Info barrels created = 33
Adsense earnings from Info barrels = $5.02
Blogger Blogs created = 7
Adsense earnings from blogger blogs = $8.05

Total Adsense earnings for July 09 = $132.85

This was a great month and it can only get better. Some people may think that this is small potatoes but, hey, this is a learning curve and eventually I will make $1,000 online and I have to say, I am really looking forward to that day coming around sooner rather than later.

So this month has been filled with writing countless hubpages.

Hubpages are highly respected websites where you can earn money via adsense, ebay or amazon links. After reading how well other people have done, I have been trying to get to my own target of writing 100 hubs. That’s 100 different articles. I have been a member of hubpages for 2 months now and so far I have written 74 hubs. I have earned $5.51 so far but as time goes on these hubs should receive more visitors so I look forward to earning more from them. Not all my hubs are written with the view to make money. The money making topics can get boring so I like to mix it up a bit. This may mean less money but at least I have my sanity.

Reading the exploits of others, particularly a guy called Ben, I know that it is possible to make a good sum of money so I am still motivated to carry on and try to emulate his success. He is much more knowledgeable so is doing much better than I am money wise but everyone has to start from the bottom in order to get better. The most important point that he hammers home is that it takes a lot of work and energy to make good money and he has proven this by producing a ridiculous amount of content within very short space of time and earning over $200 in his first couple of weeks. As you can see I still have a distance to go but I will keep plodding onwards.

My earnings are not as good as last month as I was neglecting my other sites. Hope to start creating new niche sites after I reach my 100 hub target.

My Adsense Earnings For May 09

So here goes, what I have made for the month of May:

Earnings from all my sites -$73.49

making an average daily earning of - $3.20

Earnings from my keyword experiment sites -$2.26

My Keyword Experiment

This past month I have been spending time doing keyword experiments to find out if I am actually doing it correctly. I didn’t want to waste my time picking a keyword, buying the domain name, writing lots of content and then find that the site ends up on page 500 of Google’s search engine earning nothing at all.

At times it has felt as if I have not really achieved anything because at the end of the month I have no new sites and have created no new streams of income. However the positive aspect is that every time I create a hubpage or write an article I am learning something new. Eventually I hope to get to the point where I can choose great keywords and increase my earnings even more.

The best thing about my keyword experiment is that it is not costing me anything except my time because I am using free blogger blogs and hubpages. Once I get better, I will start investing in my own domain names so that everything I write will definitely belong to me. I am still in the learning phase and know that I still have a long way to go.

Fingers crossed all goes well and that I can keep up my motivation. I know that there is money at the end of the rainbow. I just have to stay on the journey and try not to give up too quickly.

I will try and record my monthly Adsense earnings. Not sure how long I will do this but I am always fascinated to read how well others have done so I hope my figures will be encouraging to others too.

So here goes:

Jan 09 – $29.49

Feb 09 – $29.50

Mar 09 – $34.61

Apr 09 – $35.17

At least the figures are going up slowly but surely. I am still figuring out how to use good quality money making keywords. I hope to improve on these earnings during my make $10 a day niche site experiment. If anyone has any helpful hints or tips, I would be very grateful for your imput.

I am aiming to make 10 Adsense niche sites that will generate at least $1.00 per day each. I know that this is a low figure and some people will think that it is a complete waste of time and that I should set my sights and targets higher. However, I have made a conscious decision to keep my estimated earnings low for the following reasons:

I want to learn how to make a site that is guaranteed to earn a minimum amount of money so that each site I create in the future will make a least a few cents even if there are not many visitors.

I want to learn how to do good and successful keyword research so that I will know sooner rather than later whether the keyword I have chosen is worth pursuing. The quicker I can identify lucrative keywords the better. So much time can be wasted on subjects that either sound interesting or seem to be money makers but end up being real turkeys that just suck up your precious time and energy.

By working on 10 sites I should be able to learn everything I need to know so that I can then go on to create even better sites which will earn even more money.

Why 10 Sites?

I have decided on the round number of 10 because I hope to have learned everything I need to know by the time the 10th site is created, in order to progress and to increase my monetary targets. I should know what works and what doesn’t and in what areas I need to improve in order to make better sites.

I don’t expect all 10 sites to be successful so this will also be a good way to compare and contrast.

Ok – that’s it. I’m off to create my 10 niche sites. I could be gone for quite some time. Do you have any helpful suggests that could help me on my way to creating good niche sites? Leave a comment and let me know.
