Earnings For March 2011

At the beginning of the month I decided on the websites that I wanted to keep and which ones I was happy to let expire. The result is about 20 sites. I thought I could work on each one for a bit each day.

That didn’t work as it was a little bit overwhelming. So for the last couple of weeks, I concentrated on two posts only. This has been really difficult due to the boredom factor, but I keep reading on other great and successful websites that it is best to put all your energies into one thing and when the post reaches position 1-3 on first page of Google, I can move on to something else. So far I have made one sale and hope to report even better results for April.

Overall results for earnings in March were lower than my earnings for February. This is very disappointing since Feb is only 28 days and little soul destroying but I will continue until I make it big like Michelle, Dave and James. Here’s hoping.

Making Money With Adsense

Additional hubs and barrels where added for backlink purposes. My sites earned roughly the same but Hubpages took a hit.

Making Money with Amazon

Again my Amazon earnings were down due to less activity with my Hubpages. I have the choice of adding further backlinks for them or to continue to work on my own sites. I think I will concentrate on the latter.

Making Money Online Can Be Soul Destroying!

My overall earnings are down and I can see that this definitely due to my hubpages. Can’t believe the figure is under £500. Its going in the wrong waaaaaaay!!!!!

Hopefully with my new work schedule, I will be able to increase earnings for my own sites. This will be interesting as I will be losing quite a few of these little niche domains over the course of the year.

Edit: Just realized why my Hubpages earnings were lower this month – I forgot about one of my profiles – I checked and the majority of hubs had been unpublished due to the new changes they have instigated over there. I didn’t sync up that email address so didn’t get the message to fix them. I am busily trying to fix them all now and hope this will make a difference for April. What a palaver!!!

The PLR Boutique Is Open

I am happy to say that I ended up purchasing Tiffany Dow’s PLR course and I have set up my PLR website. It is called The PLR Boutique. This should be a good way to allow me to write different niche market articles without actually wasting my time buying and setting up domains and doing (or rather not doing) all the backlinking work needed in order to rank. It will be interesting to see how long it will take before I get my first order.

Money Making Goals for April

I hope to add a few more article packs to my PLR site. I have also chosen two more posts to concentrate on for this month. I know how many backlinks I need in order to reach the top positions of Google’s first page so lets hope I make more money this month.

It is time to review my online earnings for the month of December 2010. I have decided to compare this months figure with my earnings for December 2009 in order to compare and contrast the differences.

My Money Making Experiment – December Musings

This has been a fantastic year for me. I remember vaguely hoping to earn £1,000 within a single month by the end of the year and I finally achieved it. At first I thought that this would be a simple task, and then I thought there is no way I would get there but I made it thanks to those American Christmas Amazon shoppers. I even had some great sales after 25^th December too.

My Online Earnings For December 2010

I have to admit that I didn’t really do as much as I wanted to this month. I had high hopes of writing more but just couldn’t get in the mood. I did manage to buy a couple of new domains in order to create authority sites and I have also started to reduce the number of low to zero earning websites that I have.

So To The Numbers!!

Adsense has been fairly consistent compared with previous months. The amount increased as the number of hubpages and infobarrels I created increased. These days I don’t really do much with the websites that have adsense and the majority comes from hubpages that I make for backlinks or for odd products that I like the look of.

Total Adsense Earnings = £283.77 Last December = £104.76

Making Money With Amazon

I knew that the Christmas shoppers would not let me down. Again the figures have increased with the number of sites and hubs I have made. Check out My Online Earnings Summary to see what I earned last month. I now have to work on creating Amazon UK links so that I can start making some decent money from the UK shopping market.

Money Making Goals For 2011

I am going to be bold and I am going to set my online money making target for £20,000. Lets see if I can get anywhere near this sum. It would certainly be a huge jump from this years total earning but I know that I have a little more knowledge than I did twelve months ago so that should help my money making experiment along. I also want to add a new money making stream to my list so will try to work on making money with Clickbank products.

Get rid of the rubbish websites I have
Create 4 authority sites
Create a minimum of 4 clickbank sites
Get more work outsourced
Improve my backlinking strategy

Oh My God! Winter has arrived. The snow has stopped everything. Trains are not running, buses are skidding on roads, little old ladies are falling off pavements. But somehow I still managed to get to work – damn. How did that happen? Oh to be a child again and to hear that school has been closed and to spend the day throwing snowballs and making Snowmen. Ho hum. Anyway back to my reality.

My Money Making Experiment – November Musings

I am very pleased to see that my earnings for the month of November have passed the £500 again. In fact I am only £157.19 away from my goal of earning £1,000 for the month. This is fantastic news. I was worried due to the fact that I made quite a lot of sales in my earnings for October with my little Sookie Stackhouse Costume site during the Halloween season. However, people have been buying throughout the course of the month. Black Friday helped and I suppose many people are also gearing up for the Christmas period.

My Online Earnings For November 2010

I created a few more hubpages and Infobarrels. These are quick and easy to do and were mostly for backlinking purposes. I believe that earnings for Xomba and Snipsly were lower as I didn’t get round to doing any backlinking using these sites.

Amazon sales are looking great. The best thing purchased through one of my links was an $899 super duper flat screen TV. I have no sites or hubs about TVs or any other electrical stuff, so was a lovely surprise.

My Proposed Efforts For December – Time To Create Authority Sites

After evaluating my hubs and my sites, I have come to the conclusion that it is time to simplify my workload by getting rid of quite a few of my little sites. They were fun to make but don’t really make enough money for me to pursue further. I love creating new sites but I am not interested in maintaining a mega load of domains therefore quite a lot have simply been ignored. So instead of paying to renew each domain, I will simply remove the posts and reuse them on my soon to be acquired new domains. I hope to end up with 3 or 4 main domains which I can treat like hubpages by writing about a whole range of products that take my fancy. With enough posts and backlinking these little babies should be fantastic money makers this time next year.

So I am happy to go domain shopping this month and I look forward to hitting my £1000 target for December. This would be a brilliant end to 2010.

So the great news about my online earnings for October is that I finally broke through the £500 barrier with Style! Hurrah for me! I am in fact enjoying a lovely glass of Rose wine as I write this post. This is an excellent achievement for me and I am well chuffed with my results.

The bad news is that the bulk of the new earnings came from a Halloween focused site so earnings will disappear from this niche site; however I had fun doing it and that is one of the reasons for doing what we do here right? The site is called Sookie Stackhouse Costume. As you will see, it is a dot info site and I chose to create this site because I have really enjoyed watching the True Blood series and have just gotten through reading a bunch of the books. I did keyword research but the numbers weren’t that good but I had a feeling that people would want to buy the clothes that young Sookie wore as a Halloween costume and I only spent a few pence on the domain name so it was worth a punt.

During the month of October Google took my Sookie site off on a little trip not once but twice so it actually disappeared from the rankings for quite a few days. Yes I was pissed off!! Really pissed off!! I have just checked and – yup – Google has taken Sookie off to see some other corner of the world again. Oh well.

I would be really happy to get some feedback on the Sookie Stackhouse costume site. Is there anything I could have done to make it better etc. As you will see, I do favour the less is more approach to creating sites so please be kind.

With regards to my adsense earnings, I have not really done much with these sites. I have added a few more barrels, hubpages, Xomba and Snipsly posts for backlinking purposes but the rest have stayed the same. So this is really a passive income.

So the work that I have done with my Amazon sites has paid off. A good portion was from the site mentioned above as well as an increase in the earnings of some of my hubpages. This is a fantastic result for me.

My Ongoing Efforts For November

I have been very good and like I said in my earnings for September post, I have not bought any more domains although I have been very tempted. That is the fun part of creating a site – spending the money. However for the month of November I will continue to add posts to my existing sites, add more backlinks and work towards getting these sites up onto the first page of Google.

I have added My Online Earnings Summary page to this site so that you can see at a glance how I have been progressing with certain income streams. The progress is steady and I look forward to the day when these figures show a total of £1,000 per month. I am sure that someone out there who is real good with the maths could actually work out how long it will take me to get to this magical (for me) figure based on my progress so far.

Go See Inception!

One of the best movies I have seen in a long time has got to be Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio. This was a film where you had to concentrate completely from the beginning to the end in order to keep up with the plot. It was excellent and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. The cinema was packed but you would have been able to hear a pin drop. You couldn’t even hear the rustle of popcorn packets as everyone was totally absorbed. But back to the main event.

My Online Earnings For July 2010

I hoped that this month’s money making experiment would break through the £500 barrier for July but missed it by an annoying £13.65. I haven’t done any work on the sites that have adsense on them so this is all passive income, which is great.

Milestones & Achievements For July 2010

I worked on improving the ranking for two sites and am pleased to say that as of today they are both on page 1 of Google search results. Still need to work on getting them up into the top 5 where the real money is!

I used the backlink package that was recommended by Dave at Making Money On The Internet. This not only helped increase the number of backlinks, it also motivated me to continue article writing etc to create my own links.

A nominal amount was earned via Amazon UK. £5 is better than nothing. I was hoping for more USA earnings but I have read on other people’s blogs that this is a quiet time. Even Chris Guthrie made less this month so that makes me feel a little bit better. I look forward to reading his free ebook on making money with Amazon. See if I can gain some more hints and tips.
